We bind notebooks, ledgers and sketchbooks in a small studio above the old tannery yard. Every book is sewn on the frame, pressed overnight and trimmed by hand, so it opens flat and stays together for years of daily use.

Section-sewn, 64 pages of 120 gsm ivory paper, dotted. Waxed linen thread, cloth spine, cut to sit in a jacket pocket.
96 pages, 100 gsm cream paper that takes fountain pen ink without bleeding through. Lays flat on the desk.
Quarter-bound in book cloth with corners, 128 pages of ruled 90 gsm paper. Made for accounts and long lists.
Square format, 40 sheets of 150 gsm cartridge paper, hardcover with a ribbon marker and elastic closure.
Hardcover with a wipe-clean cloth, 80 pages, index tabs at the back. Fits next to the cooker.
Leather-look spine, 112 pages, a pocket inside the back cover for tickets and receipts.
Glued paperbacks crack along the spine after a year of being bent open. A sewn book spreads the load across every fold. We use waxed linen thread, a PVA and wheat-paste combination for the spine lining, and grain-direction-matched paper so pages do not curl.
Loose hymnals, split cookbooks, a family Bible with a broken back. We take on small repair jobs most weeks. Typical turnaround is three to four weeks; you get a written quote before any work starts.
