About the studio

Wrenfield Bindery started in 2019 as a weekend project in a spare room, binding notebooks for friends who wanted something that would survive a bag. It grew into a two-person studio in the old tannery yard on Hebble Lane.

Tom does most of the sewing and repairs. Ines handles paper, cloth and the workshops. We buy paper from mills in Kent and Italy, cloth from a family firm in Lancashire, and thread from a rope maker in Cumbria. Anything we cannot source nearby, we tell you about on the product page.

The studio is small and open to visitors Tuesday to Saturday. If you want to see a book on the frame, ask.
